NFL Week 8 Upset Predictions & Picks; Spread Underdogs to Win

NFL Week 8 Upset Predictions & Picks; Spread Underdogs to Win by Michael Luchies

This season has been filled with huge underdogs not only covering spreads but winning games. Just look at the St. Louis Rams the last two weeks upsetting both Dallas and Washington! In both games you could get upwards of 3-1 odds on this single game. This week I am not holding out and picking 1 point underdogs. Here are this weeks upset picks to look for.

Atlanta Falcons (+8.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Don’t look now but the Falcons are 4-2 and Matt Ryan looks like he was worth the rediculous amount of money that the Falcons gave him. Both the Falcons and the 3-3 Eagles are coming off of bye weeks. The Eagles Brian Westbrook says he’ll be ready to play but that has yet to be determined. The Falcons have done a very good job controlling the clock and running the ball with Turner and Norwood. Expect a field goal game and maybe somehow the Falcons will get this victory on the road. 24-21 Falcons

Arizona Cardinals (+4.5) vs. Carolina Panthers

Anquan Bolidn for the Arizona Cardinals has returned to practice and may be able to play on sunday vs. the Panthers. Even without Boldin the Cardinals have been able to connect through the air with Fitzgerald and Breaston. The 5-2 Panthers are an impressive 4-0 at home but I look for that to end this week against the Cardinals if Boldin can play. Tim Hightower and Edgerrin James should get it done on the ground even though the Panthers have one of the leagues better defenses. 28-27 Cardinals Read the rest here
